Marsh Violet (Viola palustris)

Elk Meadow Perimeter Trail, Mt. Hood W.A., Oregon, 7/2012.
Also known as Blue Runner Violet due to its blue stolons (a horizontal above-ground shoot). This is an uncommon violet, and we’re not 100% positive on the specific identification– if you can help, let us know.
