Woolly Pussytoes (Antennaria lanata)

These are supposed to look like the underside of a cat’s foot, as opposed to Pussy Paws, which are supposed to look like a view from above.  This from Wildflowers of Mount Rainier and the Cascades, by Mary Fries and Bob and Ira Spring.  These seem to like alpine meadows more than the dry, rocky mountain tops and passes favored by Pussy Paws and Cushion Buckwheat.
