Gray’s Lovage (Ligusticum grayi)
Mt. Hood N.W.A., OR, 7/2012.
The Queen Ann’s Lace of mountain meadows. Note the “double umbel” shape. The main stem splits into many smaller stems, then each of those splits again, before flowering.
We often find Gray’s Lovage massed with other late summer flowers in high mountain meadows, like our trip below on Mt. Hood.
